Nathaniel Bassey, one of Nigeria’s most anointed gospel ministers, has once again graced the world with a song that stirs the soul and exalts the name of the Lord. “Adonai (Live In Israel)“, featuring the talented worship leader Joshua Aaron, is a deeply spiritual offering from Nathaniel’s newly released 18-track album, The River, unveiled on December 12, 2024.
Recorded in the land of the Bible, the significance of this live session cannot be overstated. Israel, the birthplace of the gospel, adds an authentic depth to the worship experience, reminding us of the eternal promise of God’s love and covenant with His people. Through Adonai, the worshippers reaffirm that God alone is worthy of all honor and adoration, just as the angels cry out in heaven, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory” (Isaiah 6:3).
The River album as a whole is a refreshing stream of Spirit-filled songs, but Adonai stands out as a profound moment of global worship. Nathaniel Bassey and Joshua Aaron’s collaboration is a testament to the unity of believers around the world, declaring with one voice that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Let this song draw you into deeper intimacy with God, encouraging you to lift your voice in adoration and proclaim: “Adonai, You reign forever!” Just as water flows from a river to quench thirst, may this song refresh your soul and rekindle your passion for worshipping the Lord in spirit and truth.
