Nathaniel Bassey has long been a voice of prophetic worship, leading millions into deep encounters with God through his powerful sound and Spirit-filled lyrics. With “You Are Good“, Bassey invites listeners to bask in the unchanging nature of God’s goodness, echoing the sentiments of Psalm 34:8, which says, “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”* The song is not just an expression of praise, but a declaration of the goodness of God that transcends circumstances and shines through every season of life.
In true Nathaniel Bassey fashion, the song carries a deep, prophetic atmosphere that leads listeners into a place of reverence and gratitude. It calls for believers to reflect on God’s unwavering goodness in every moment, whether in times of joy or hardship. The lyrics remind us that God’s goodness is not dependent on our circumstances but is intrinsic to who He is—good, kind, and full of love.
You Are Good is a timely reminder to the body of Christ of God’s unchanging nature, particularly as we navigate through the uncertainties of life. It is a call to praise God in all things, recognizing that His goodness is evident in the smallest mercies and the grandest blessings. As we sing along with Nathaniel Bassey, let us hold on to the truth of Psalm 100:5: “For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Nathaniel Bassey’s The River album, with its 18 tracks, promises to be a profound journey of worship, and You Are Good is a shining example of the depth and richness that the entire project offers. This album, like the song itself, is bound to lift spirits, ignite faith, and draw believers closer to the heart of God.
As you listen to You Are Good, let your heart be filled with gratitude and awe for the unchanging goodness of God. This song is more than just an expression of worship—it’s a proclamation of faith in the One who is always good, always faithful, and forever worthy of all our praise.
