“Ebezina” is a consoling Nigerian gospel song that has stood the test of time. This great piece of work by Preye Odede has healed many souls, bind the broken hearted and console distressed souls. Since the original single was released in 2012, it has blessed so many Christians all over the world.
The title, “Ebezina” means “ Cry No More” in English when translated from Igbo language, and it reflects the song’s theme of consolation.
The song encourages us to wait on God with the lyrics, “Ogini bu nsogbu gi, I mana odighi adigide” meaning “what could be your problem, it does not last“. It encourages us to trust in God’s plan, and wait on God. The lyrics say “hichaa anya mmiri, Chukwu adighi atu asi, oga adiri gi mma” meaning “clean up your tears, God does not lie, It shall be well with you“. What a divine hope ignited in this lyrics!
