Tim Godfrey, one of Nigeria’s most prolific gospel musicians, has once again blessed the body of Christ with a soul-stirring song titled “Something About That Name“. Collaborating with the Fearless Community, Tim Godfrey delivers this beautiful worship anthem as part of his latest project, “A Letter To My Daddy“, a 5-track album released on December 4th, 2024.
“Something About That Name” is not just a song; it is a heartfelt declaration of the power, majesty, and wonder that lies in the name of Jesus. The name that calms storms, breaks chains, and brings healing to the brokenhearted. As the Scripture says, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” (Philippians 2:9-10). Tim Godfrey captures this truth beautifully, reminding listeners that the name of Jesus carries unmatched authority and power.
The “A Letter To My Daddy” album is an intimate offering of songs that reflect the love, devotion, and personal relationship Tim Godfrey has with God, our Heavenly Father. In “Something About That Name,” the lyrics and melodies combine to testify to the undeniable power found in Jesus’ name—an eternal name that brings peace, salvation, and joy to all who call upon it.
Tim Godfrey and the Fearless Community have once again ushered in a sound that transcends music, drawing worshippers into deeper communion with God. “Something About That Name” is more than a track on an album—it is an anthem for the church, a song of hope, deliverance, and victory.
As you listen, may your faith be strengthened, your burdens lifted, and your heart filled with the peace that only comes through the powerful name of Jesus. Let this song be a declaration in your life: the name of Jesus reigns supreme, now and forever.
